D Kulinski - About Me
My name is Diane Kulinski. I have been teaching for over 40 years. I was born and grew up in Torrington,CT. My first teaching job was at the grammar school I attended, St. Mary's in Torrington. I taught there for 5 years until the school closed. I came here to Sacred Heart where I taught grade 5 until I was moved to the middle school where I teach Religion, History, and Geography I remember the words Fr. Paul Wysocki said to me:"Welcome Home." What meaningful words since I have felt at home here right from the start thanks to the supportive administration, sisters and teachers here at Sacred Heart.
I am single and live in New Britain, though I spend much time in Torrington with my family. I enjoy traveling, walking, reading, attending theater and music performances, and visiting museums. Some of my favorite trips include my two passions- baseball and history. Whenever I travel, I think of how the experience will enhance my teaching, especially in teaching history and geography. This is one of the things I like most about teaching- the constant learning and sharing that goes on. I get many ideas from my students and look forward to each year as a unique experience and opportunity for growth for my students and myself.
